Terms

The agreement between your church and Church Photos, kept short. By creating an account or using Church Photos, you agree to it.

Your account

Each person on your team has their own account. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your login. The person who creates your church's account agrees to these terms for the church, and should be someone allowed to do that. The church's owner can invite people to the team and remove them.

Your photos are yours

Your church owns its photos and everything you make from them in Church Photos. You give us permission to store, process and show them only to run Church Photos for you: making previews, tagging and editing them, showing them to your team, and serving them on Views you create. That permission ends when you delete them. How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy.

What you agree to

  • Only upload photos your church has the right to use.
  • Follow your church's own photo and child-safety policies, including any permission families have given or withheld.
  • Don't upload anything illegal or use Church Photos to harm or harass anyone.
  • Don't try to break, overload or get around the service, or get into another church's photos.

Views and links

A View is a public page: anyone with its link can see the photos in it and, if you allow it, download them. You choose what goes on a View, and you can turn it off at any time. Invite links and volunteer upload links work for anyone who has them, so share them carefully.

The AI features

Tags, captions, keeper picks and automatic name-tag blurs save time, but they aren't perfect. Check photos before you share them, especially photos of kids.

Storage

Each church has a storage limit, shown in the app. When you reach it, clear some space to keep uploading.

The beta

Church Photos is in an invite-only beta. Features will change as we build. We'll tell you about big changes ahead of time.

Paying

If your church pays for Church Photos, you'll see the price and billing terms before you subscribe.

Ending things

You can stop using Church Photos at any time, and email support@churchphotos.app to have your church's account and photos deleted. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut Church Photos down, we'll give you at least 30 days to download your photos first.

The legal part

We work hard to keep Church Photos running and your photos safe, but it's provided “as is,” without warranties. Keep your own copy of any photo you can't replace. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what your church paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. The open-source software Church Photos uses comes under its own licenses, listed in our third-party notices.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email the account owners before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the last update.
